Addressing skewed sex ratio at birth in China: practices and challenges

چکیده
Abstract The sex ratio at birth (SRB) in China began to rise rapidly the 1980s and declined after 2009. has maintained a downward trend since 2009, but is still higher than normal level. government of committed redress distortions SRB initiated multiple actions accomplish that end. Against background economic development, accelerating modernization empowerment women, strengthened governance made significant progress balancing birth. This paper examines for China, summarizes practices address gender imbalance birth, analyzes challenges ahead.
